LGBTQI+ Special Envoy Jessica Stern Travels to Toronto and Ottawa, Receives Award from Rainbow Railroad

On June 6 Jessica Stern, U.S. Special Envoy to Advance the Human Rights of LGBTQI+ Persons, will travel to Toronto, Canada, for meetings with local community leaders and activists, as well as a fireside chat event for local community and political leaders.

In Toronto, SE Stern will be presented with Rainbow Railroad’s inaugural Freedom Award in recognition of her commitment to 2SLGBTQI+ persons in Canada and around the world.

SE Stern will travel to Ottawa on June 7 for bilateral meetings, including with members of Parliament and Global Affairs Canada senior officials to discuss their commitment to jointly advancing respect for human rights for LGBTQI+ persons. SE Stern will also meet with local civil society members.
