Representatives of the URF took part in the international forum “Rapid Recovery of Ukraine”
The second international business forum “Rapid Recovery of Ukraine” was held. The event was organized by the Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce.
The event brought together 40 speakers from various international institutions, as well as representatives of several Ukrainian ministries, businessmen and mayors to discuss investment opportunities and the rapid recovery of Ukraine at six venues in Luxembourg.
“Our goal is to convey to European politicians the importance of investing right now. Yes, it may be risky, but it is even more risky not to invest. The state needs development, support for jobs, business needs to work, taxes need to be paid, and regions need to develop,” said Yevhenia Paliy, President of the Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce.
According to her, the event was attended by representatives of more than 15 regions of Ukraine – from the town of Bilopillya, 10 kilometers from the Russian border, and Konotop to cities in Kharkiv and Volyn regions.
Yevhenia Paliy also gave an example of French companies that continue to operate in Ukraine during the war.
“Not one of the 180 French companies has left the Ukrainian market in these two years, so they are here in Luxembourg,” Paliy said.
The financial panel was held with the participation of the European Investment Bank, the World Bank in Ukraine, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as the Czech, French and English ministries of economy.
According to the founder of the Ukraine Reconstruction Fund, Pavlo Kostyuk, the forum increased the value of discussions on Ukraine’s recovery and expanded the opportunities for partnership between the business community and the governments of Luxembourg and Ukraine.
“Without a doubt, the first forum, held on January 31, 2023, was a great success. It is great that this year’s event has become even more effective, addressing key issues and opportunities for economic growth and development of Ukraine,” said Pavlo Kostyuk.
