Under Secretary Zeya’s Travel to Atlanta, Georgia

Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to participate in the civil society events on the margins of the U.S.-convened UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) Conference of the States Parties (COSP) on December 10.  During the COSP more than 150 governments, in addition to over 1,000 international organizations, civil society organizations, and young leaders, will join the gathering under the auspices of the United States’ 2023-2024 COSP Presidency.

Under Secretary Zeya will give keynote remarks at the opening session of the first-ever Anti-Corruption Civil Society Forum, where she will highlight the important role of civil society in global anti-corruption efforts.  She will also deliver high-level closing remarks during the U.S.-hosted Young Changemakers event, which will showcase the important role played by young people in the fight against corruption.
