Targeting Procurement Network for Russia’s Military Sector

The Department of the Treasury today sanctioned a network of nine entities and five individuals supporting the Russian military and related materiel sector.  This network has procured electronics with military applications for Russia.  Concurrently, the Department of Commerce added six of these targets to the Bureau of Industry and Security Entity List and the Department of Justice unsealed two separate indictments against Hans De Geetere, the leader of this procurement network, related to his years-long scheme to unlawfully export sensitive, military-grade technology from the United States to external end-users.

The United States is committed to working with our allies and partners to expose and degrade networks engaged in Russia’s military procurement.  The United States will continue to take actions against the Russia’s military-industrial complex to disrupt the Kremlin’s access the tools it uses to perpetuate its illegal war against Ukraine.

The Department of the Treasury actions were taken pursuant to Executive Order 14024 “Blocking Property With Respect To Specified Harmful Foreign Activities of the Government of the Russian Federation”.  For more information on these designations, see Treasury’s press release.
