Tanzania Union Day – United States Department of State

On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the Tanzanian people on the 59th anniversary of the creation of the United Republic of Tanzania.

The United States and Tanzania share a broad relationship rooted in strong economic, development, health, and security cooperation. We commend Tanzania on its recent democratic reforms and look forward to deepening our longstanding partnership following the Vice President’s recent visit.

I send my best wishes to all Tanzanians. The U.S.-Tanzania bilateral relationship is full of promise this year.
