On behalf of the United States of America, I wish everyone in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic a happy, healthy, and prosperous Lao New Year.
As you celebrate this special holiday, the United States looks forward to advancing our comprehensive partnership and working closely with Laos in support of its ASEAN chair year. There is a great deal that unites us, including our shared desire to advance development objectives, economic growth, public health, and people-to-people ties. Our commitment to growing a strong, peaceful, and secure future for our two countries, as well as for the larger Indo-Pacific region, remains as steadfast as ever.
To everyone in Laos and to the Laotian American community in the United States: Congratulations on Lao New Year and enjoy the many celebrations ahead — Sok Di Pi Mai.
