Coordinator for Counterterrorism Richard Participates in Meeting on Countering Hamas
Coordinator for Counterterrorism Elizabeth Richard participated in a May 15 meeting in the Hague on countering Hamas.
This meeting follows the December 13, 2023, engagement in Paris with partner governments to coordinate further international efforts to dismantle Hamas’ financial networks and target Hamas’ online propaganda.
Coordinator Richard engaged with participating governments on U.S. efforts against Hamas and sought additional collaboration to pressure Hamas financial hubs and restrict Hamas travel. Additionally, the Coordinator updated the group on U.S. efforts to engage tech companies in voluntary collaboration to limit Hamas’ use of online platforms, including social media, for terrorist purposes.
