Austria National Day – United States Department of State
On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Austria on their National Day and celebrate our longstanding friendship.
The close bond between the United States and Austria is based on our shared democratic values. We enjoy a strong trade and investment relationship, creating economic opportunities in both our countries. Our shared understanding of the importance of international law undergirds our cooperation on critical global issues, from defending democracy and human rights, to addressing the climate crisis and nuclear nonproliferation. We welcome Austria’s continued humanitarian support in the face of Russia’s unprovoked war against Ukraine.
We wish all Austrians a joyful National Day. May our partnership continue to ensure peace and prosperity for both our nations.
