State Department-DOD Memo of Agreement Facilitates DETO Program Access for Military Spouses

Today, at a White House ceremony hosted by First Lady Jill Biden, Deputy Secretary Richard Verma and Department of Defense (DOD) Deputy Secretary Kathleen Hicks signed a State-DOD Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to facilitate Domestic Employee Teleworking Overseas (DETO) arrangements for U.S. executive branch employees accompanying their DOD Military or Civilian employee spouses on assignments to U.S. DOD installations abroad.  This Agreement creates a streamlined path toward approvals for military spouses, helping these individuals maintain their careers while keeping  families together.
