Secretary Blinken’s Call with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Ukraine’s new Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.  The Secretary congratulated Sybiha on his new position and underlined the enduring strength of the United States’ partnership with Ukraine, including ongoing military, economic, and humanitarian support to sustain Ukraine’s fight against Russia’s aggression and speed the recovery of Ukraine’s economy.  The two discussed the upcoming diplomatic calendar, and the Secretary confirmed U.S. support for Ukrainian events planned for the opening week of the UN General Assembly.
