Colombia’s National Day – United States Department of State
On behalf of the Government of the United States and the American people, I wish the Republic of Colombia and Colombians everywhere a glorious 213th Independence Day.
Our shared democratic values, respect for human rights, emphasis on equitable economic growth, collaboration in addressing the existential threat of climate change, and joint efforts to provide support to vulnerable migrants and refugees reflect the importance of our close partnership. The people of Colombia can continue to count on the United States as a steadfast friend as we address shared global and regional challenges.
I congratulate Colombia on 213 years of independence and wish the people of Colombia a joyous Independence Day.
