Acting Special Coordinator for the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI) Helaina Matza will travel to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan July 14-19 to advance ongoing U.S.-led efforts to facilitate strategic infrastructure investments in the Trans-Caspian Corridor.

Building on President Biden’s commitment at the September 2023 C5+1 Summit to explore opportunities to support the Trans-Caspian Corridor, PGI is working to expand its global economic corridor approach and identify quality, sustainable infrastructure opportunities in Central Asia.  While in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, Acting Special Coordinator Matza will meet with government officials as well as private sector partners to discuss potential infrastructure projects and financing opportunities.
