THE EUROPEAN INVESTMENT BANK (EIB) WILL SOON PROVIDE UKRAINE WITH 250 MILLION EUROS TO RESTORE THE ENERGY SECTOR DAMAGED BY RUSSIAN TERRORISTS.

This was announced by the Ministry of Finance following an online meeting between Minister of Finance Sergii Marchenko and Head of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Nadia Calvino and Head of the EIB’s representative office in Ukraine Jean-Erik de Zagon.

“The parties discussed the implementation of cooperation programs and new support projects. The Government of Ukraine and the EIB are working hard to prepare new financial agreements,” the statement said.

The Ministry of Finance added that support is provided systematically, and Ukraine and the bank continue to work on expanding the partnership.

“The European Investment Bank systematically supports Ukraine in priority areas. And we continue to work on expanding our partnership. In total, the EIB’s initiatives in the public sector amount to 26 projects worth EUR 5.3 billion,” Marchenko said.
