Russian forces advance on Ukrainian city Bakhmut – BBC News

Russian forces are continuing to advance on the city of Bakhmut in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region, despite setbacks elsewhere.

British military intelligence reports that Russian forces – led by the private military company, Wagner Group – have achieved some localised gains in the Donbas.

It is one of the few places where Russia is advancing, as Ukraine has made gains in the east and south.
