Inauguration of President Abinader in the Dominican Republic
The United States congratulates Luis Abinader on his second inauguration as President of the Dominican Republic. Through this election, the people of the Dominican Republic expressed their collective aspirations for prosperity, security, and democratic governance. Our two countries have a strong partnership and share a deep and abiding belief in the power of democratic governance to provide a healthy, prosperous, and equitable future for generations to come.
We look forward to continuing our strong collaboration to strengthen institutions, advance inclusive economic growth, champion human rights, and promote good governance and security. Furthermore, we continue to partner with the Dominican Republic to enhance its resilience to weather- and climate-related extreme events through the U.S.-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis (PACC 2030) and to otherwise deepen our economic ties.
