Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption Nephew’s Travel to Montenegro, Lithuania, and Albania

Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption Richard Nephew will travel to Montenegro, Lithuania, and Albania June 16-21.  His visit will underscore ongoing U.S. commitment to combat corruption in the Western Balkans, strengthen the rule of law, and address ongoing shared challenges.

On June 16-17, Coordinator Nephew will visit Podgorica, Montenegro to meet with government officials and civil society representatives.  His engagements will discuss Montenegro’s anti-corruption efforts, seek to identify areas for further collaboration, and emphasize U.S. support for ongoing efforts to combat corruption.

Coordinator Nephew will then travel to Vilnius, Lithuania on June 18-19, where he will join the opening plenary of the International Anti-Corruption Conference, as well as other official sessions.  He will also meet with various government and civil society partners on the margins.

On June 20, Coordinator Nephew will visit Tirana, Albania, where he will meet with representatives from government and civil society.  He will discuss work underway in the fight against corruption and areas for further cooperation and collaboration on anti-corruption efforts.
