Secretary Blinken’s Trip to San Francisco for RSA Conference and Guatemala for the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection Ministerial

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will travel to San Francisco, California for RSA Conference on May 6 and to Guatemala, where he will lead the U.S. delegation to the third Ministerial meeting of the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection on May 7.

While in San Francisco he will engage with technology industry stakeholders at RSA Conference (RSAC) and, on the margins, emerging technology experts in the areas of biotechnology and quantum information science and technology.  He will detail U.S. efforts to foster a more inclusive, secure, prosperous, rights-respecting, safe, and equitable world through the United States’s affirmative and proactive vision for key technology areas including cyberspace, digital, AI, quantum, and biotechnology.

In Guatemala, Secretary Blinken will underscore our advances over the past two years and look ahead to next joint steps to bolster humane migration management and robust enforcement, lawful pathways and access to protection, and increasing refugee and migrant integration in the Americas.

The Secretary will meet with President Bernardo Arévalo and other leaders from the Western Hemisphere to discuss building a more secure and prosperous hemisphere.
