URF took part in the international conference ReBuild Ukraine

Representatives of the Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund visited the second international exhibition and conference ReBuild Ukraine.

The event took place on November 14-15 in Warsaw. It brought together several thousand participants from about 30 countries.

It was one of the largest investment forums among those that the URF team visited this year. Its special feature was the Marathon of Communities: heads of local governments presented their restoration projects.

– In my opinion, it was an interesting format. It helped to understand the situation on the ground: what changes communities are seeking in the first place, what they can offer themselves and what kind of assistance they expect from donors,” said Pavlo Kostyuk, head of the URF.

In addition to representatives of government agencies and donor organizations, private companies – leaders in the energy, construction and engineering sectors – also joined ReBuild Ukraine. They presented their achievements in numerous pavilions. Among them were those with experience in rebuilding after the wars in the former Yugoslavia.

During the forum, participants were able to establish direct contacts and hear the opinions of leading experts.

– The benefit of such events is that they eliminate the bureaucratic component, saving precious time for the restoration of Ukraine, and form the tracks we have to follow, – believes Viktoriia Korsunova, head of the URF Kyiv office.

By the end of the year, Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund plans to attend several more international conferences to present its mission.
