Secretary Blinken Participates in an Opening Ceremony for New Innovative Building at the Foreign Service Institute

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will deliver remarks and participate in an opening ceremony for a new state-of-the-art building at the Foreign Service Institute’s (FSI) Arlington campus at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 23. Building B, the latest addition to FSI’s campus, offers modern learning and meeting spaces technologically equipped to train the Department of State workforce and members of the U.S. foreign affairs community to advance U.S. diplomacy now and into the future.

FSI Director Joan Polaschik will join Secretary Blinken and will highlight how FSI is investing in the technological and physical infrastructure to support a workforce adept at advancing U.S. interests in a rapidly changing world.

The event will be pooled for in-person press coverage and will be available for replay on the Department homepage and the Department YouTube channel.
