Acting Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Barclay Travels to Mexico City

Acting Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Erin Barclay will travel to Mexico City, Mexico July 10-13 to discuss disappearances, the protection of journalists and human rights defenders, challenges in bringing human rights violators to justice, and preparations for Mexico’s 2024 general elections.

She will meet with government officials, and participate in roundtables with journalists and human rights defenders, families of the disappeared, and civil society groups engaged on rule of law and good governance.
