Assistant Secretary Kritenbrink’s Meetings in Tokyo and Seoul

Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel J. Kritenbrink held meetings with Japanese officials in Tokyo on June 20 and Republic of Korea (ROK) officials in Seoul on June 21.

The Assistant Secretary provided a readout of Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken’s meetings with senior PRC officials in Beijing on June 18-19 to both Japanese and ROK government interlocutors, and also discussed a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, indicative of our close coordination with key allies to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific.
